Grasse – accommodation, eating out...

Situation
Situated between the sea and the mountains, Grasse is in the countryside just inland of Cannes and is as a major industrial town.  World perfume capital, the city that came into existence in the 13th century is a Mecca for tourism and a prospering industrial centre  (Production of natural raw materials, food flavourings) that alone represents 50% of French activity in perfumery and flavouring and 8% of world activity.
20 minutes from Cannes, 35 minutes from Nice international airport, 15 minutes from the Sophia Antipolis science park, Grasse is experiencing strong demographic growth and promising economic development.
 
Quality of life
ESAIP Grasse is located within the ISP – Fénelon, a historic building at the heart of Grasse. A former convent that has been renovated, the Visitation site dominates the plain of Cannes and offers a wonderful view of the coast.  The vineyards, gardens, terraces, archways and old stones make this place of learning a haven of peace that is highly appreciated by the students.
 
Catering
There is a cafeteria for the students 500 metres from the school.  You can prepare you own meals on site thanks to the cafeteria's facilities.  Situated at the heart of the historic city of Grasse, restaurants and fast-food establishments are less than five minutes away.
 
Accommodation
Engineering students who want to live in Grasse can consult an up-to-date list of accommodation available in the town centre(only 10 minutes away from the school on foot).
 
Leisure activities
The French Riviera is one of the only regions in the world where it's possible to go skiing in the morning and sailing in the afternoon.  Less than one hour from the ski slopes, Grasse dominates the sea and the Lerins islands, offering its inhabitants a remarkable quality of life.  Being so close to the towns of Cannes, Nice, Antibes and Juan les Pins means you can fully enjoy the tourist and festive activities the region has to offer.
