Language
The aim of a language is simply to be able to communicate and understand the other satisfactorily (both verbally and in writing).
Esaip group is not a language school but it teaches you to exchange on a daily basis and work in a foreign language without worrying: you will learn to be self-sufficient, able to take classes in a foreign language, able to take part in a business meeting, know how to exchange by telephone or e-mail...
A beginner level is enough to get into esaip: in other words you have already studied a language, even it was several years ago.
On the syllabus, English as a 1st language (compulsory) and for the 2nd language a choice of Spanish, German or Italian (Engineer site in Grasse only).
You have language problems? We have tools to reconcile you with languages!
To get the academic year off to a good start: An Intensive English week
A week's refresher course is offered on the Angers campus
It is for:
- Those who have a poor level (the admission board will let you know)
- Those who don't feel comfortable with English
The aim is to update linguistic knowledge and feel comfortable again when communicating. You will be divided into groups of mixed levels. A test at the beginning of the week will let you know what your course level is. An end of course test will allow you to assess your progress.
Lecturers involved with this week are all "natives" from English-speaking countries.
On the syllabus: grammar workshops, discussions around various themes, evening activities...and fun!
The main aim of this week is to get you to SPEAK!
During your course
-
Tutorial
Organising and stimulating mutual aid between students through teamwork. The groups are supervised by a teacher.
-
Support
Lecturers target students in difficulty to help them to improve.
-
Tell me more
To help each student to be self-sufficient (to organise, learn and consolidate his or her knowledge and skills), everybody has an account in the "Tell me more Campus" software package.
This tool can be accessed on the Internet all year round so you can work in the multimedia room on campus, from home, when studying abroad or while doing an internship.
The language level is validated by a TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) score for English (compulsory to get your diploma).
If you wish, the value of the 2nd language can be highlighted by the "BULATS" (Business Language Testing Service) test.
To find out more about the TOEIC: go to the "international" subsite of the classes of your choice
