Working in France or overseas
17% of esaip graduates work abroad including 8% in VIE (an international business programme). These figures are variable depending on seniority and the industry.
Beyond mobility, going abroad is also about working in a multinational, being in contact with customers and/or suppliers abroad, taking trips...
50% of our graduates are concerned! (again there are gaps between industries).
With regard salaries, sometimes significant differences but variable depending on the country: our graduates earn €35,800 gross a year (start of career) in France on average: abroad it's €40,300, i.e. roughly 11% more.
The figures are similar for bonuses, taking into account that in some countries companies offer a number of benefits (car, mobile phone, computer ...)

VIE: expatriate skills for a limited investment.
The Volontariat International en Entreprise (V.I.E - an international business programme) allows French companies to entrust a professional overseas assignment to a young person aged 28 and under for between 6 to 24 months.
The State supports the company in developing the whole application. In some cases, the V.I.E benefits from regional financial assistance with up to 50% of the cost of a V.I.E. being paid.
Note, the VIE is not an internship but an employment contract.
The company pays:
- Your monthly allowance, variable according to the country, from €1200 a month,
- Monthly management and social welfare costs from €175,
- International travel costs and luggage transport for a round trip
