        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<h1>350m² de panneaux photovoltaiques</h1><h2>Un chantier en cours sur le campus ESAIP Angers</h2>

        <div class="code_html"><p>En 2009, un groupe projet composé d'élèves-ingénieurs esaip de dernière année, démontre la faisabilité d'une production d'électricité photovoltaïque sur le toit d'un bâtiment du campus angevin. Avec le soutien de la société EDF, il réalise l'étude technique, l'analyse financière et se rapproche d'entreprises du secteur pour obtenir des devis.</p>
<p>La Direction et le Conseil d'administration ont été convaincus par le travail fourni mais le groupe esaip étant un établissement sous statut d'association Loi 1901, la question du financement s'est rapidement imposée.</p>
<p>Début 2011, une rencontre avec le Conseil Général de Maine et Loire redonne un souffle au projet grâce à la SODEMEL (Aménageur et constructeur d'équipements publics pour le compte des collectivités du Maine et Loire). Après un audit et un vote de leur conseil d'administration : notre projet est retenu !</p>
<p>La SODEMEL est ainsi en charge de la recherche d'entreprises pour la réalisation du chantier. La maitrise d'ouvrage est assurée par la SEM (Société d'économie Mixte) Anjou Energies Renouvelables.</p>
<p>Les travaux ont débutés début janvier et devraient s'achever pour mars 2012 avec l'arrivée des beaux jours.</p></div>

<p><strong>Interview :</strong></p>
<p><em>"I have a bac S (scientific A' level equivalent) and then went on to study for an additional 3 years to prepare for grandes écoles (PCSI-PSI) in Stanislas Cannes.&#160;<br />
I discovered ESAIP during a student tradeshow.  The school's international and human aspect caught my attention.  After more in-depth research into safety, environment and risk prevention, I applied for ESAIP." </em></p></div>

    <li><strong>Why did you take part in the professional ethic competition and choose the subject "Ethics and collective responsibility of engineers"?</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><em>In my course and with regards my future profession, this question in my opinon seemed to be the most fundamental insofar as the speciality I have chosen, namely  <strong>the management and mastery of risk must take into account human, ecological or citizen values</strong><strong>&#160;</strong>cannot, by its very nature, be completely controlled by economic objectives.  Beyond lies the problem of the very purpose of my future profession.<br />
So it was very important to question how we intervene as an engineer in a context geared more towards performance and how to take preoccupations of a different kind into account, namely the protection of health and the environment.<br />
For me, these issues linked to engineering needed to be considered. </em></p></div>

    <li><strong>What do you retain from this experience?</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><em>Science and morality, ethics and economic progress, the philosophical debate is still topical.  As future engineers, I chose a more pragmatic approach, that of the engineer's ability to reconcile constraints of his profession and moral values and more particularly how this affects man and the environment.<br />
This debate is wide open notably in the field of medical research, and it's far from being closed, especially as the issues are amplified by the economic context and the rapidity of technological evolutions.<br />
This reflection allowed me to ask myself questions about my future profession as well as about myself.<br />
That is certainly what was important about taking part in this competition: <strong>learning to confront and defend ones opinions, and having the desire to do it.</strong> </em></p></div>

</ul>
<p><strong>What dimension can the engineer's ethics take in a system where the issues are mainly economic or financial?&#160; </strong><br />
Considering his place within the decision process and his technological skills, you may think that the responsibility of the consequences of technical realisations weighs heavily on its author, and in any case, it is up to him to at least be the guarantor of any by-products that may be produced.  By respecting his moral principles and personal convictions, the engineer must know how to choose between the interest of his company or his employer and the negative impact for man or the environment of the technical realisations he may have participated in.  He must, if needs be, attract the attention of official authorities when the gravity of the situation requires it.  But this "ethical power" even if it satisfies the individual moral conscience, has its limits.  Isolated, caught up in a collective system where interests are often contradictory, the technical expert will frequently be faced with problems.  He will therefore have to turn to a higher ethical level, in other words to the efficient stage of professional ethics.<br />
Awareness and convictions must be protected and favoured in the context of a collective and organised approach.  Developing a genuine code of ethics, setting up protective status for engineers and taking into account the initial training of ethical aspects will be determining in developing the ethical responsibility of engineers.</p></div>

<p>They did a trial on&#160;<strong>the responsibility of directors, relating to psychosocial risks at work.</strong></p>
<p></p>
<p><em>"During an applications project in a company, we had the chance to work on psychosocial risks at work.  Our aim was to deal with local and transversal actions on this theme with the help of a task force.  This mission led us to an in-depth reflection on the responsibility of directors with regards well-being at work."</em></p>
<p><em>"During this reflection, we tried to analyse <strong>how professional practices today have sometimes made directors lose a sense of ethics</strong> by no longer putting the individual at the heart of work and how laws and standards attempt to reshape these deviations and protect employees."<br />
</em></p></div>

<p>In October 2011 ESAIP is to run an engineering sandwich course in partnership with <a target="_blank" href="http://www.itii-pdl.com">ITII Pays de la Loire</a>, on&#160;<a title="Diplôme d'Ingénieur Sécurité, Environnement, et Prévention des risques" hreflang="fr" href="http://www.esaip.org/en/engineering-school/apprentissage/">Safety, Environment and Risk prevention Engineering diploma</a>. This has existed since 1995 as an initial training course.</p>
<p>ESAIP wishes to make this study day a time <strong>f</strong><strong>or stepping back and discussing an engineering sandwich course</strong>. &#160;It is organising this encounter with <strong>the aim of pooling different experiences acquired</strong> in this field by the ITII Pays de la Loire and by schools belonging to the FESIC network  (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.isep.fr">ISEP Paris</a>, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.lasalle-beauvais.fr">La Salle Beauvais</a>, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.groupe-esa.com">ESA Angers</a>).</p>
<p>Through this ESAIP aims to&#160;promote good practices for running an engineering sandwich course.  The emphasis will be on the specificities of such a training course compared with an initial training course regarding recruiting students, student expectations, the rhythm of a sandwich course, teaching methods, supervising students, validating skills acquired...</p>
<p>Sandwich courses in engineering schools are going to evolve.  This day will be the chance for us to question the creation of a platform to give the different players and managers of an engineering sandwich course the chance to exchange information to turn this project into a long-term one.</p></div>

<p>"I would like to express myself on behalf of all the year groups and attempt, in a few minutes, to assess the two years of study that we have just finished.</p>
<p></p>
<p>It isn't an easy task, both these years were intense and rich in events, and I hope my companions will recognise themselves in what I'm going to say.</p>
<p></p>
<p>First of all I'd like to thank the teaching staff and the administrative director Mr Martin, <strong>for the richness and diversity of the subjects we tackled</strong> during these two years  as well as <strong>the quality of the contributors who were always there for us and knew how to grab our attention and interest on varied subjects,&#160;often state-of-the-art subjects at the heart of current events</strong>.    I would also like to thank the whole ESAIP Grasse team that always <strong>took pains to listen to and create a permanent dialogue and a constructive relationship with the students during these two years.</strong></p>
<h4>None of us ever felt that we were an anonymous element in the year group.</h4>
<p>Quite the contrary, the Board and the lecturers always concentrated their efforts on developing individual relations with each of us that helped to maintain an excellent working atmosphere, and we wish to thank you for this.<br />
As outgoing President of the student association, I'm happy to present the new President of the association Sébastien Giral who I'm absolutely convinced will help the board to develop the team spirit and solidarity between year groups and the lecturers. I think that each of us can be satisfied with the excellent harmony and cohesion that exists within our student groups.<br />
Armed with the credentials we have accumulated during these two years of training but also the human values we have developed and which are the mark of the Fénelon Institute, I think we are well armed to join the foreign universities in which we are going to spend several months.  Well armed too to set off for our 3rd year in Angers.</p>
<p>Again, on behalf of all the 2nd year students a big thank you to the management team and the lecturers for everything they have given us during these two years training.  I'm sure that each of us will have fond memories of this time."</p>
