The results obtained by Mathieu COLLETTE in the context of his thesis have given rise to a patent registration request. This request was made together by esaip, Angers teaching hospital and the University of Angers. The text of the patent concerns measuring arterial rigidity by bioelectrical impedance technique (biomedical field).

The results of this request will be given in September.

This Thesis is directed by Anne HUMEAU from esaip and the LISA laboratory of the University of Angers, and jointly supervised by Georges LEFTHERIOTIS from the teaching hospital and University of Angers.

From the 16th to the 22nd November 2009: Science celebrates!

Since 1992 the science festival has been a national event intended to promote scientific and technical culture and to encourage, in a festive atmosphere, exchanges between science and society.

Promoting research professions, notably among young people, and research development in a European space are some of the strong themes of the campaign.

Around the theme "The origins of life and the universe: what evolutions, what revolutions?"

Mathieu Collette, PhD at the esaip research centre successfully defended his thesis entitled "Contributing to measuring arterial rigidity by a bioelectrical impedance technique: modelling, instrumentation and processing signals" Wednesday 30th September at the ISTIA of Angers

Benjamin Buard, PhD at the esaip research centre successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Helping to understand Doppler laser fluxmetry signals: processing physiological signals and interpretations", the 10th September of last year at the University of Angers. He was awarded first-class honours.
