They've done it! and give their accounts

Tanguy - blind, braillist
What's good about ISAIP is the logistical support from Montéclair in Angers that provides documents in Braille

Julien - partially sighted
I know there are specific classes after the BTS, but not at this level of study. In any case I'm not looking for specific classes; being admitted has given me social fulfilment and a higher skill level. This undoubtedly makes integrating into the world of work that much easier.

Frédérik - partially sighted
I was at Institut Guinot in Villejuif, a specialised centre, and I was told that after my BTS I could go onto higher education. I would have most probably stopped studying but since we already start out with a handicap, we might as well have everything in hand to succeed. Furthermore, companies tend to relegate disabled people to thankless jobs; it's the occasion to be able to obtain the same jobs as "sighted people".

Yann - blind, Braillist
The interest lies in the fact that it isn't a specific training course, we integrate with the other normal students". We have the same lessons, we go overseas ..., it's just the work aids that are adapted. (...) There is a period of adaptation to get to know the tools and the buildings so we can move around on our own. You need time to know the group, to know that there's no problem calling on people because self-sufficiency doesn't really exist for us, we're more or less dependent on others, this may also be the key to success that makes the year group stick together.

Laurent - partially sighted
I think that able-bodied people are aware of our differences and they understand our problems better than those who have never worked with visually handicapped people. It's all a question of human relations because affinities are created despite handicaps.
