Yearly projects - Project manager
2 transversal projects are offered in addition to projects realised in each training module. They take place during a semester each.
Year 1: identification from the customer need to product realisation
In the 1st year, the students do an application project per team. Each group plays both the role of customer for another group of students and the role of service provider for its own project. It offers detailed specifications (needs, technical constraints, quality constraints,...) that will be given to another group of students and the supervising lecturer.
It then draws up the specification file, the design file and the test file.
Examples of subjects:
- Integrating an authentication solution and a securing remote access system
- Developing a Smartphone application
- Developing a stock exchange portfolio site in Java
- Setting up a network and a safety policy
Calendar:
- Validation of the subject - mid October (1 to 2 typed pages presenting the pair, the subject, the main points of the project (the plan), the tools used (software, hardware, books, Websites ... ), the project's interest for you...) to give to the course leader.
- 1st meeting: progress meeting with the tutor. Handing over the specifications, the projected schedule with distribution of tasks.
- 2nd meeting: progress meeting with the tutor. Handing over the design file (data structures...) for the development projects. Handing over a hardware and software study plan for the other projects (systems and networks).
- 3rd meeting: progress meeting with the tutor. Handing over the software specifications file for development projects. Handing over an in-depth hardware and software study for the other projects.
- 4th meeting: progress meeting with the tutor, final "adjustments" before the oral presentations. Handing over a document describing the test protocols. Handing over a copy of the economic study (commercial proposal, quote, financial result...).
- Handing over the report in 2 copies to the leader at least 48 hours (working hours) before the oral presentations.
At the beginning of each progress meeting, you are asked to present a summary (mini PowerPoint of 1 or 2 slides) of how your project is advancing (problems encountered, finished modules...) and to provide the tutor with a hard copy of this sheet.
Year 2 : gradually integrating the corporate world
This final year project is preparation for the end of study work placement that puts you in a real-life situation for a project manager mission. It will be realised in a team, under the joint responsibility of a lecturer and the professional tutor who defined the specifications.
The subjects are supplied by companies

Calendar :
During the 1st semester, each Thursday is reserved for the project. This notably allows groups that work on projects with companies to organise meetings
