Angers Smart and Connected City Project
A Collaborative and associative project PAVIC (in french Platform Development - Smart and Connected City), which includes ESAIP, formally launched on April 21, 2016.
The aim is to provide opportunities for project developers to experiment with the IOT cand provide connected and innovative solutions for real issuesin the Angevin area. With this approach, Angers,”FrenchTech”, wants "to become a smart city with its own model" driven by its IOT ecosystem.
This dynamic has been set up by institutional actors (City of Angers, Angers Loire Métropole CCI Maine et Loire), academic (ESAIP, OCHS, ISTIA) and technological (WifiLib Lacroix Group, Octave) to facilitate the access to data, services and research.
Angers, a city much used for product launches, hopes to become a benchmark for smart cities through "real scale" tests using the PAVIC platform.
